Holders Celtic are safely through to the quarter-finals after a comfortable victory over Boroughmuir Thistle and they got off to a dream start with Megan Bowie giving them the lead within a minute. Meanwhile, Kilmarnock came out on top against St Johnstone in an all-SPWL 2 encounter. Lisa Swanson's first half strike was enough to settle a tight affair at Rugby Park.
