Darren Fletcher
Biography
An elegant midfielder and dedicated professional, Darren is a product of Manchester United's youth academy. He made 342 appearances over 12 years in the first team, winning every domestic honour in the English top flight. He joined West Bromwich Albion in February 2015. Darren won his first Scotland cap in an August 2003 friendly against Norway and scored a crucial goal in his second appearance, securing a 1-0 win over Lithuania and taking Scotland to the play-offs for Euro 2004. On 26 May 2004, aged 20, he captained Scotland to a 1-0 friendly win over Estonia, becoming the youngest captain since John Lambie of Queen's Park in 1886. Darren entered the International Roll of Honour in September 2010 after winning his 50th cap in a Euro 2012 qualifying win over Liechtenstein at Hampden.
