Biography
Hughie Gallacher made his Scotland debut on the 1st March 1924 against Northern Ireland in the British Home Championship but didn’t score his first goals until the following year when he netted a brace against Wales.
Hughie was also a member of the legendary ‘Wembley Wizards’ team that defeated England 5-1 at Wembley stadium in 1928.
He is the third highest goal scorer in Scotland’s history with 23 goals, a remarkable achievement considering he only played 20 games.
