Biography
Craig is a graduate of the Heart of Midlothian youth system. He was instrumental in their 2006 Scottish Cup triumph and was named Scottish Football Writers' Association Player of the Year - the first Hearts recipient since Sandy Jardine in 1986 and the first goalkeeper since Andy Goram in 1993. Craig won his first cap in a 4-1 win over Trinidad and Tobago in 2004 and a series of world-class performances quickly made him a firm favourite with the Tartan Army. His form made him a Scotland regular and prompted a £9m move to Sunderland back in 2007. Injuriesaffected his time with Sunderland and was released from his contract in 2012. After two years out of thegame hesigned for Celticin the summer of 2014, quickly rediscovering his previousform, and made his first Scotland appearance for four years in a friendly against England at Celtic Park in November 2014.
