Biography
Suzanne made her Scotland debut as a 16-year-old, scoring twice against Northern Ireland. She was called-up to the national side despite not playing for an organised women's team at the time; she was scouted playing for her school and a local boys' club.
The striker has often played in midfield for Scotland but continues to score important goals. She struck four times in the Women's World Cup 2011 qualifiers, including an impressive lob in her 75th match, an 8-1 win over Bulgaria in April 2010. Suzanne was part of the squads that reached back-to-back Euro play-offs, against Russia in 2008 and Spain in 2012.
The former Glasgow City and Hibernian player signed for Arsenal in 2009, picking up three trophies in three months. She scored on her debut, coming on as a substitute in the FA Women's League Cup final. She also played in the FA Women's Cup winning side and scored the only goal in the title-winning game against Everton.
Suzanne scored her 12th international goal as she won her 100th cap in a friendly match against USA at LP Field, Nashville, on 13 February 2013. In the same match, USA striker, and World Player of the Year, Abby Wambach marked her 200th appearance with a goal.
