Biography
Griffiths made his debut for Livingston as a sixteen-year-old, after coming on as a late substitute against Airdrie United in December 2006. Three years later, he completed a move to Scottish First Division rivals Dundee and beacame a fans' favourite, scoring 34 goals in 62 appearances.
On 27 January 2011, the young striker signed for then English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
During a loan spell with Hibernian, he finished season 2012/13 as the Edinburgh club's top scorer and picked up a host of end-of-season awards, including PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year, Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League Player of the Year and Scottish Football Writers Player of the Year.
Leigh represented Scotland at under-19 and under-21 level, and was part of the squad that reached the 2011 UEFA Under-21 Championship play-offs, narrowly losing out to Iceland.
He made his senior debut in a 2-1 friendly win over Luxembourg in November 2012, and made his first start eight months later in a 1-0 FIFA World Cup qualifying win over Croatia in Zagreb.
