Bairns progress to semi-finals

Falkirk are the first team to book their place in the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-finals with a 1-0 victory over Queen of the South at Palmerston Park. A first-half header from Craig Sibbald ensured the Bairns' progression to their second semi-final in three years. The three other sixth round matches this weekend are as follows: Inverness Caley Thistle v Raith Rovers Saturday 7 March 2015, kick-off 3pm Caledonian Stadium The first time these two teams have met since a 4-3 win for Caley Thistle back in April 2010. Inverness have beaten two fellow Premiership clubs to get to this stage while Raith beat Rangers 2-1 at Ibrox in the Fifth Round. Hibernian v Berwick Sunday 8 March 2015, kick-off 12.45pm Easter Road Fourth Scottish Cup meeting between the two teams. Hibernian are unbeaten in the league in 2015 and were runners-up in the competition just two years ago. Berwick Rangers beat Spartans in the last round and have former-Hearts midfielder Colin Cameron as their player-manager. Dundee United v Celtic Sunday 8 March 2015, kick-off 3.30pm Tannadice Park The only All-Premiership tie of the Sixth Round, this is the first of three Dundee United v Celtic games this month – including the QTS Scottish League Cup Final on March 21. There have been 10 goals and a win a piece in their previous two meetings so expect drama.
