Ahead of Scotland’s final two qualifiers with a World Cup play-off place within touching distance, Steve Clarke has rewarded Stoke City striker Jacob Brown with his first Scotland call-up.

23-year-old Brown signed for Stoke in 2020 having progressed through Barnsley’s academy. The forward qualifies for Scotland through his Mother and has four goals to his name this season, scoring at the weekend in a 3-3 draw with Cardiff City.

Clarke has named a consistent squad following last month’s two wins over Israel and Faroe Islands with Lyndon Dykes included after his crucial winner in Torshavn.

Zander Clark has been recalled after missing out on the last camp but impressing recently for St Johnstone.

Scotland go into the last two qualifiers knowing a win in Moldova will be enough to secure Scotland’s place in the World Cup play-offs which would take place in March.
