Scotland return to the National Stadium on Tuesday night as Pedro Martinez Losa's side take on Belgium in the UEFA Women’s Nations League.

Scotland began their campaign with a spirited showing on Friday evening on their ‘League A’ opener against World Cup finalists England.

Despite falling two goals behind early on, Scotland rallied, pulling a goal back through Kirsty Hanson and dominating periods of the match.

Although they were unable to find a leveller, Martinez Losa's side will take confidence from the performance as they turn their attention to the first home game of the campaign.

Scotland were without Erin Cuthbert for this double header and there was another blow this week with Emma Watson forced to withdraw from the squad.

Kirsty Howat has been called up to the squad for the first time and she could make her debut on Tuesday night.

Pre-match thoughts

Scotland Head Coach Pedro Martinez Losa: "Over a long period of time, we have now had performances consistently and we are stable in the good things that we do - but we want to do it even more.

"It was small details that decided the game on Friday and those small details matter.

"We have the confidence that we are consistent in our performances - collectively and individually.

"We feel we have a real squad now, with a couple of players coming in and performing.

"So that's the positives (from Friday) but we are aware that tomorrow is a totally different context and a totally different opponent."

Scotland's Martha Thomas: “I think as a squad we’re proud of the way we played, competing against a team who won the Euros and made it to a World Cup final.

“But then on the other side we’re a bit disappointed not to get anything from the game. I think we probably deserved a draw.

"We’ve looked at Belgium and obviously they’ve had another good result, so they’ll have some momentum.

"Despite us not getting the result, I think we can have momentum regardless of that so we’re looking forward to it.”
