2024 UEFA Women's Under-17: Qualifying Round 2 Tournament North Macedonia v Scotland Tuesday, 19 March – 1pm (UK time) Miejski Wrzesnia, Wrzesnia
Head Coach Pauline MacDonald has finalised her Scotland Women's Under-17 squad that will travel to Poland later this month for the upcoming UEFA Round 2 Tournament.
Scotland have been drawn into group A7, alongside Denmark, North Macedonia and hosts Poland. The group victors will qualify automatically for the 2024 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship finals, which will take place in Sweden in May, while the fourth-placed side will be relegated to League B for qualifying for the 2025 edition of the tournament.
The young Scots gained promotion to League A early last year, with back-to-back 4-0 victories over Israel and Georgia. They then performed credibly in the first qualifying round in October, securing four points from a group that included France, Italy and Slovenia to qualify for Round 2.
MacDonald's side kick off this stage with a game against Denmark in Srem on Wednesday, 13 March. Hosts Poland are next up on Saturday, 13 March in Plewiska and the round concludes with a game against North Macedonia three days later in Września.
Scotland warmed up for these matches with two friendlies against Sweden and England in the MIMA Cup in Murcia last month.
Amy Sharkey, Laura Berry and Cara Gray all got on the scoresheet in an impressive win over Sweden before Scotland were defeated by England in the final.
