40 teams will play out 20 ties, with the League Two clubs joining the competition at this stage, with the games set to take place on the weekend of Saturday 22 October.
Speaking after the draw, Ryan said: "My brother, Stephen, played for Banks O' Dee, so I had one eye on them in the draw.
"I don't think it matters who you're playing for and what level you're at. The Scottish Cup is the one you want to do well in and there's always something special about the week leading up to the games. An extra edge.
"Scoring in the Cup Final last year was a special moment, personally, but only because we went on to win. I think any kid who grows up kicking a ball dreams of achieving something like that."
