Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup Preliminary Round Two Preview

Among the entrants at this stage are Darvel, who shocked Aberdeen in the Fourth Round of last year's competition. The Ayrshire side take on Glenafton Athletic at Loch Park.

Auchinleck Talbot and Clydebank, who have also bagged memorable cup scalps in recent seasons, start off with trips to Wigtown & Bladnoch and Fort William respectively.

Pollok created headlines of their own in the Second Round last year by defeating Annan Athletic 4-3 in a thriller live on BBC Scotland. They take on Benburb at Newlandsfield in their opener this time around.

Cupar Hearts, Loch Ness and Luncarty - all making their competition debuts this season - came through Preliminary Round One, while Culter received a bye to join the other 48 teams at this stage.

Carluke Rovers and Creetown are another two sides who are taking part in the competition for the first time. Carluke welcome Dalbeattie Star to the John Cumming Stadium while Creetown take on Whitehill Welfare.

First Round Draw

The draw for the Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup First Round will take place on Sunday evening at 7:30pm on the Scottish Cup YouTube channel.

Scotland and Hearts stopper Craig Gordon will join host Gordon Duncan to conduct the draw.

The goalkeeper won the Scottish Cup with Hearts in 2006 and he went on to lift the trophy on a further two occasions with Celtic in 2017 and 2018.
