Buckie defeated fellow Highland League side Formartine United live on BBC, with goals from Josh Peters and Aaron Cummings, while Linlithgow saw off Bo'ness Athletic after two goals in the first ten minutes from Lucas Stenhouse and Oliver Hamilton.

18 matches then took place across an action-packed Saturday, with the results listed at the bottom of the page.

Caledonian Braves threatened a shock against Stirling Albion as they roared back from 3-1 down, scoring two goals in stoppage time to take the game to extra-time, but Adam Brown eventually scored the winner to settle a seven-goal thriller in favour of the League Two side.

There was a clash of League Two's top two sides at the The Vanloq Community Stadium and it was Spartans who came out on top against East Kilbride, with Marc McNulty's double giving the Edinburgh side a come-from-behind win.

Only one match went the distance, with Benburb eventually seeing off Wick Academy 8-7 on penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw.

Auchinleck Talbot and Clydebank are both sides who have had success in this competition in recent seasons and they are both in the hat after 3-1 home victories over Gretna 2008 and East Stirlingshire respectively.

It was an afternoon to remember for Annan Athletic player-manager Wullie Gibson, who scored a screamer in the 90th minute to give Annan a 3-2 victory away to Clyde. Gibson had given Annan an early lead and Aidan Smith made it 2-0 but Clyde levelled through Taylor Sutherland and Kyle Connell before Gibson's heroics.

Musselburgh Athletic threatened the shock of the day as they took a first half lead over Forfar Athletic through Jamie Todd but Forfar hit back to win 2-1, with Stuart Morrison and Craig Slater on target.

Banks O'Dee and Stranraer were the big winners on the day, both securing 4-0 home victories over Fraserburgh and Glenafton respectively.

Dundee North End enjoyed a memorable run to the Third Round last season but they could not repeat the feat this time around as they lost 3-0 away to Tranent.

Johnstone Burgh's memorable debut cup run also came to an end as Graham Taylor's goal gave Camelon Juniors a 1-0 win.
