Scotland Under-18s finished undefeated in their UEFA International Tournament group, beating Paraguay 2-1 in the final fixture.
A first half brace from Kai Kennedy was enough to secure the victory in Istanbul, with the South Americans pulling one back in the second 45 – the only goal the young Scots conceded in their three games.
Head coach Billy Stark reflected on what was a successful tournament for the Under-18s.
He said: “It is pleasing for all of us – the staff and the players – to have what was a successful and very beneficial tournament in Turkey.
“The most important thing for our young players is giving them these valuable opportunities, so for them to perform the way they did across the three games is encouraging.
“We faced three teams who are extremely talented at this level, who are all heading to the World Cup, so to finish undefeated at the top of the group will give the squad a lot of confidence to build on as they progress as players and as people.”
