UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualifiers Scotland v FYR Macedonia Friday, 2nd September 2016, kick-off 7.30pm Tynecastle Stadium, Edinburgh Ukraine v Scotland Tuesday, 6th September 2016, kick-off 6.30pm (local time) Obolon Arena, Kiev Ricky Sbragia has named his squad for the forthcoming UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying matches against FYR Macedonia and Ukraine. Heart of Midlothian are well represented in the shape of John Souttar, Sam Nicholson and Liam Smith, as well as Billy King and Jordan McGhee who are on loan at Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Middlesbrough respectively. Brentford midfielder Lewis Macleod also returns to the squad after a lengthy spell on the sidelines through injury. The former Rangers midfielder has made an impressive start to the season in the English Championship and will hope to make his first appearance for the under-21s in almost two years. There are also places for Swansea City defender Stephen Kingsley, Sunderland right-back Donald Love and Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser, who all started for their clubs at the weekend in the English Premier League. Scotland remain in the hunt for a place at next year’s finals in Poland and know a win over FYR Macedonia at Tynecastle Stadium next Friday night will boost their hopes ahead of a trip to Kiev.
