Charlotte Newsham
Biography
Charlotte Newsham started her career in the Blackburn Rovers youth academy before spells with both the Manchester City and Manchester United development sides.

Newsham made her debut for United’s senior side during a pre-season friendly match against Valerenga in July 2019 before a loan spell with Huddersfield Town during the 2019/20 season.

She rejoined Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2020 and quickly became a first team regular before a move to fellow Championship side Sheffield United in July 2021.

Newsham played every match of the 2022/23 season for United and was voted the club’s Player of the Year, making 56 appearances in total with the Blades before a move to Charlton Athletic in July 2024.

At international level, Newsham represented Scotland at both Under-19 and Under-23 level, playing in all three of Scotland’s group stage matches at the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship in 2019.

She made her senior international debut as a substitute during a 5-0 FIFA World Cup qualifying victory over Luxembourg in March 2026 before making her first Scotland start against the same opponents four days later.
