A total of 52 goals were scored in the William Hill Scottish Cup this weekend.

The Third Round of the 2019-20 competition has not been concluded however, with a two fixtures heading to replays.

It all started with one of the standout fixtures of the round, as Linlithgow Rose hosted Falkirk. A thrilling first half saw the League One side go in to the break with a 2-1 lead, before they showed their class to put the game beyond the Rose and win 4-1.

Auchinleck Talbot were minutes away from another memorable win in the Scottish Cup, but conceded a late penalty which saw Championship side Arbroath take the game to a replay.

Fellow Championship side Greenock Morton found themselves a goal down, but equalised just before half time, also from the spot, to draw 1-1 with Brora Rangers.

BSC Glasgow produced a stunning 91st minute winner to defeat East Fife 4-3 away from home, whilst Edinburgh City won by the same scoreline against Annan Athletic.

It was an afternoon for the underdogs in a number of the Third Round fixtures. Queen of the South were knocked out on their home turf by League Two side Queen's Park, whilst Stranraer won 1-0 against Dunfermline at Stair Park.

Partick Thistle's goal in the first minute was enough to see them progress past Penicuik Athletic at Firhill and it was a similar situation for Raith Rovers, who scored in the third minute and held on to be included in Sunday's Fourth Round draw.
