Steve Clarke has named his squad for the upcoming UEFA EURO 2020 double-header against Russia and San Marino.

Scotland face a long trip to take on the second placed Russians before hosting San Marino at Hampden in Group I.

Dundee United's Lawrence Shankland receives a call-up following his stunning form in the Championship. The striker has 15 goals in all competitions this term.

Full-back Liam Palmer re-joins the squad, after his late withdrawal last month, whilst centre-back Liam Cooper retains his spot after being recalled for September’s crunch matches against Russia and Belgium.

John Fleck could earn his first cap as he makes Clarke’s squad following a string of impressive displays in the Premier League with Sheffield United.

The remainder of the squad has a familiar feel to it for the National Team manager. Oliver Burke returns to the fold after making his loan switch to La Liga side Alaves. His last-gasp winner gave Clarke a winning start as manager in June’s 2-1 win over Cyprus.

The manager will be hoping to see the likes of Ryan Christie, John McGinn and Kenny McLean continue their fine starts to the season in what is a difficult away trip before facing bottom of the group San Marino at Hampden.

Striker Oli McBurnie will be keen to grab his first goal for the National team, having scored his first Premier League goal for Sheffield United in August.
