Little Big Shot Scottish FA Youth Cup Final

Celtic take on Rangers at Hampden Park this Thursday evening in the highly anticipated 2015 Little Big Shot Youth Cup Final.
The game – which is the pinnacle of the season for Scotland’s Under-20 sides – will be streamed live on YouTube for FREE at www.youtube.com/ScottishCupOfficial (kick-off 7.30pm)
The competition has historically acted as a launch-pad for some of Scottish football’s greatest talents since the first final was contested back in 1984.
We’ve picked out 10 of the best players to have seen their career go from strength to strength after appearing at a Youth Cup final:
Joe Miller – 1985, Aberdeen
Starred in Aberdeen’s 1985 win over Celtic and went on to play over 200 games for the first team. Also spent time at Celtic and Dundee United.
Christian Dailly – 1991, Dundee United
Went on to star for Blackburn Rovers, West Ham United and Rangers the 1991 Youth Cup winner is Scotland’s sixth most-capped player. Made 143 appearances for United and won the 1994 Scottish Cup.
Craig Gordon – 2000, Hearts
The current Celtic and Scotland goalkeeper lifted the 2000 trophy with Hearts who beat Rangers 5-3 in the final at Hampden Park
Kevin McNaughton – 2001, Aberdeen
Lifted the Youth Cup with Aberdeen in 2001 and went on to make 175 appearances for the first team. Has played 292 games for Cardiff City.
Shaun Maloney – 2001, Celtic
Scotland’s goal hero against the Republic of Ireland in November featured for Celtic in the 2001 final. Now playing with Chicago Fire in the MLS.
Charlie Adam – 2002, Rangers
Stoke City and Scotland midfielder was just a promising youngster when he appeared for Rangers in the 2002 Youth Cup Final.
Steven Naismith – 2004, Kilmarnock
Another member of the current Scotland team who launched his career with a Youth Cup win. Now playing in the English Premier League with Everton
Charlie Mulgrew – 2005, Celtic
Lifted the 2005 cup with current side Celtic following a 2-0 win over St Mirren at Hampden Park
David Wotherspoon – 2009, Hibernian
Featured for Hibernian in their second ever Youth Cup final win in 2009, Wotherspoon went on to make 132 appearances for the senior side. Now at St Johnstone.
James Forrest – 2010, Celtic
A star of the 2010 Celtic youth team who beat Rangers 2-0 and went on to win four Youth Cup finals in a row.
