Robbie Muirhead’s stunning strike for Scotland during last year’s Under-19s European Championship qualifiers has been nominated by UEFA as one of their Top 10 goals of the 2014/15 season.
The goal – scored in a 1-1 draw with Norway last October – has racked up over 100,000 views on YouTube and the Dundee United striker will now fight it out with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in a public vote for the top prize.
The award forms part of UEFA’s 60-year anniversary celebrations, with a shortlist compiled by The UEFA Football Committee and UEFA Technical Observers.

Robbie’s wonder strike took on extra significance for the Scotland Under-19s that year after they qualified for the Elite Round stage as best third-placed team on goal difference.
The former Kilmarnock striker moved to Dundee United in January 2015 and has scored twice in ten appearances since the switch to Tannadice, including the winner in a 1-0 victory over Aberdeen in May.
