The four Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup Quarter-Final ties have been confirmed, after the draw took place at the SMiSA Stadium, following Hearts' penalty shoot-out win over St Mirren.

It was conducted by Scottish comedian Paul Black, who joined host Jonathan Sutherland for the draw.

Holders Celtic were drawn at home to Hibernian, with Queen's Park - who knocked out Rangers yesterday - rewarded with a trip to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen.

James Penrice scored the winning spot-kick for Hearts on the night to see the Jambos through and they were given a home tie in the last four against Dundee.

David Martindale's Livingston will entertain St Johnstone in the round's other tie.

The matches are set to be played on the weekend of Saturday, 8 March.

Reflecting on the draw, Paul Black said: "When I told my granddad I was doing this, it was the proudest he had ever been of me. I could win a Oscar and it wouldn't top this in his eye.

"Celtic's match against Hibs looks a good tie and Queen's Park going up to Aberdeen looks an interesting one too."

The comedian is back on stage next month for two more iterations of his Edinburgh Fringe Show, with a show on Saturday, 22 March at the King's Theatre as part of the Glasgow Comedy Festival, and a second show on Friday, 28 March at the Leicester Square Theatre on London. He added: "The show is a mix of stand-up and some sketches, so there's a bit for everyone. We did a sellout run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year and then we did the Armadillo and this will be the last two because even I will be sick of the jokes after this one.

"Online sketches were how i first started but I've enjoyed transitioning into stand-up and in-person performances. There's no edit when you're live so there's nowhere to hide but it's been good.

"I've got the podcast as well now and sometimes it can be difficult knowing what jokes to keep for certain platforms but, having started off with sketches, it's been nice returning to do them as well for this show.

"Once those shows are finished it'll be straight on to writing a new show. I will probably do a work-in-progress show at the Fringe this year, which is a bit less pressure and if some jokes don't work you can just say 'that was meant to be the case!'"
