Team News

Head Coach Melissa made just two changes from the side who lost narrowly to Austria on Friday evening, with Mia McAulay coming in for Lauren Davidson - who dropped to the bench - and Kirsty MacLean replacing the injured Amy Rodgers.

As it Happened

Roord was looking to win the game on her own for the hosts and she was next to go close just after the half hour mark with a left footed attempt from just inside the box that was parried away by Gibson.

Leuchter then came close for the hosts in the 37th minute as her volley was deflected to safety off Sophie Howard.

McAulay was then inches from giving Scotland an unlikely lead a minute later as she ran through on goal from an Erin Cuthbert pass but her low effort was dragged narrowly wide of the far post.

Scotland had been second best in the first half but Andreatta's side improved markedly after the break and McAulay went through again three minutes into the second half but this time the angle was tight and Van Domselaar made the simple save.

Andreatta introduced Rachel McLauchlan, Kirsty Smith, Martha Thomas and Kirsty Howat as she shuffled her pack early in the second period and the changes seemed to work, with Scotland having the better of the second period.

Scotland may have been on top but both sides struggled to create any openings until a frantic last 15 minutes.

Netherlands thought they had retaken the lead in the 80 minute when Chasity Grant raced through and cut the ball back to Roord whose low effort shaved the edge of the left hand post as Scotland breathed a sigh of relief.

Scotland may have suffered a scare but Andreatta's side then could have taken their own lead three minutes later as Caroline Weir's flick released Howat but the striker's left foot shot was saved by Van Domselaar.

Scotland were finishing strongly and McLaughlan was next to go close as she worked space with a mazy run in the 87th minute before eventually being crowded out as she looked to shoot.

Two substitutes then nearly combined for Scotland's winner as McLauchlan crossed for Thomas who bore down on goal but the striker saw her left foot shot saved by van Domselaar's feet as she looked to give the goalkeeper the eyes.

Thomas then diverted Muir's inswinging cross onto the roof of the net in the 89th minute as Scotland looked to grab their first win of this UEFA Women's Nations League but it was not to be as Scotland had to settle for a more than credible point.
