Scotland’s campaign to reach a third consecutive UEFA European Under-17 Championships got off to the perfect start with an emphatic 3-0 victory over FYR Macedonia in Burgas, Bulgaria.
Shaun Bowers and Lewis Morrison struck within the opening 20 minutes as Scotland raced into an early 2-0 lead. With ten minutes to go, Broque Watson made it 3-0 to match Italy’s victory over Bulgaria in the group’s other match.
Scotland now face the hosts on Friday, before they take on Italy on Monday.
