25,000 Scotland supporters have purchased tickets for Scotland’s friendly match against Poland, answering the call to send a clear message of solidarity to the people of Ukraine.
On Monday the Scottish FA announced plans – in partnership with UNICEF – to play Poland in a friendly on Thursday, 24 March at Hampden Park.
For every ticket sold, £10 will be donated to UNICEF UK’s emergency appeal for Ukraine, and supporters will have the opportunity to make an additional donation if they wish during the ticket purchase process, with a special donate button on the web page directing to UNICEF UK’s appeal.
Those essential funds will support families in Ukraine and those who have been displaced to neighbouring countries. Ensuring child health and protection services are sustained and that familiar have clean water and nutritious food.
Support Scotland to support Ukraine.

The match was arranged following FIFA’s decision to postpone the FIFA World Cup Play-Off Semi-Final against Ukraine due to the ongoing conflict, and the cancellation of Poland’s scheduled tie with Russia.
Scottish FA Chief Executive Ian Maxwell: “We have been heartened and humbled by the response of the Scotland supporters and we thank every single person who has bought a ticket so far.
“Despite only announcing the match on Monday and tickets only having been on sale for three days the Scotland supporters have again shown why we think they are some of the best in the world.
“By backing this wonderful initiative in their droves the Scotland fans are not only supporting Steve and the players in what will be an invaluable opportunity to prepare for competitive games later this year, but also showing solidarity with Ukraine at this difficult time.
“I implore all Scotland fans – and indeed, anyone who would not normally attend Scotland matches but wants to support Ukraine – to buy a ticket if they haven’t done so already and help this wonderful appeal.”
Scotland Supporters Club members can purchase tickets from £5 for juniors and £20 for adult members, with prices for non-members from £5 for juniors and adult prices from £25.
