Türkiye v Scotland
Wednesday, 16 November 2022 (kick-off: 8pm local time)
Diyarbakir Stadium, Diyarbakir
Scotland will play Türkiye in an international friendly fixture at Diyarbakir Stadium in November for their final match of 2022.
Steve Clarke’s squad will travel to play in Türkiye on Wednesday, 16 November, in preparation for next year’s UEFA EURO 2024 qualification campaign.
Ticket information for the match will be released in due course.
The match will be only the second meeting between the two nations and the first in more than 60 years.
Türkiye ran out 4-2 winners in 1960, with Eric Caldow and Alex Yung on the scoresheet for Scotland.
Scotland Head Coach Steve Clarke: “It is important that we have a match against a strong opponent before we begin our EURO 2024 qualification campaign and Türkiye will provide a stern test for us.
“They have a squad of players playing at a high level throughout Europe, with recent big tournament experience.
“Like us, I am sure their players will be motivated to show that they can perform at the highest level and end their year on a high.”
