Danny Lennon has named six new players in his 21-man squad for the under-21 friendly against Hungary later this month.

There’s a strong representation from the capital with six Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian players named – including a first call-up for striker Jason Cummings, who has scored in his last three games for Hibs.

Defender Callum Paterson also returns to the squad alongside Hearts teammates Jack Hamilton, Jordan McGhee and Sam Nicholson.

Manchester United defender Donald Love - who has appeareed in Scotland under-19 and under-17 squads - could also make his first start for the under-21s.

Other new faces include Charlie Telfer (Dundee United), Stephen Kingsley (Swansea City), Callum McFadzean (Sheffield United) and Lawrence Shankland (Aberdeen).

Scotland will play Hungary in Budapest on Thursday, 26 March in their first fixture since the 1-1 draw against Switzerland in November as they continue their preparations for the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers which begin in September.
