The Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup kicks off this weekend with Round One of the 2024/2025 competition taking place over the course of Friday and Saturday.

Following the completion of the two Preliminary Rounds, the 26 winners are joined by 18 clubs from the Highland League and 16 sides from the Lowland League, making up 30 First Round ties.

The round begins on Friday night at Kings Park as Dalkeith Thistle host Broxburn Athletic, live on the BBC Scotland Channel. Tynecastle also host Hill of Beath Hawthorn on Friday evening, before the other 28 ties take place on an action-packed Saturday.

Cupar Hearts, who have won back-to-back Scottish Amateur Cups, have become only the second ever Scottish FA Amateur qualifier to make it to Round One of the Scottish Cup and they have been rewarded with a trip to Lowland League club Berwick Rangers. Also making their debut in Round One are Dundee North End, with the Midlands League champions hosting Lowland League side Tranent.

Clydebank shocked Elgin City and Clyde in their run to the Fourth Round in 2022 and they will be hoping to repeat the feat this season. After seeing off St Andrew's United 7-0 in the Preliminary Round, they play Girvan at Holm Park.

Darvel had their fairytale story in 2023 as they shocked Aberdeen in the Third Round but they were comfortably beaten in the First Round by Bo'ness United last season. The Ayrshire side head east to take on Musselburgh this time around.

Bo'ness Athletic are already enjoying a cup run of their own this year, seeing off Beith Juniors and Kilwinning Rangers to make it to this stage. They take on Dunbar United at New Countess Park.

Buckie Thistle got the dream Fourth Round trip last season as they faced Celtic at Celtic Park and Lewis Mackinnon's team begin their 2024/2025 campaign with a home tie against Scottish Cup First Round debutants Carluke Rovers at Victoria Park.
