Scotland suffered a setback in their quest to reach the elite round of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship following a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Slovenia today.
The Scots were punished for their wastefulness when Dominik Ivkic headed home a corner midway through the second half to hand Slovenia a narrow win.
Zak Jules saw red late in the game when he was second off for a second caution.
Scot Gemmill’s side can still reach the elite round but they must win their final group match on Wednesday against group hosts Republic of Ireland.
