Brian McLaughlin's Under-17 side rounded off a strong week in Northern Ireland with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over their hosts on Saturday.

Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri had given the Scots a 10th minute lead but Shea Mcgarry equalised three minutes later.

Scotland were dominant - with 19 attempts to their hosts 6 - but the match appeared to be heading towards a draw until Luke Douglas' late winner gave McLaughlin's team a deserved win.

That win capped off an impressive camp for Scotland, ensuring we finish second in Group A6, behind group winners, Spain.

Scotland had began the week with a brilliant 2-0 victory over Turkiye, after first half goals from Ethan Crombie and Cadamarteri.

The young Scots then performed admirably in their next match against Spain, although the Spaniards were clinical in their finishing in a 3-0 victory.

Scotland must now wait to see if the result will be enough to qualify for the Under-17 World Cup which takes place later in the year.
