ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP

In June 2023, Scottish Gas and the Scottish Football Association embarked on a landmark five-year partnership to power positive change in all regions of Scotland through significant investment in the grassroots football level of the game.

The energy giant has committed funding to launch 120 new week-long football camps to provide 6,000 children from all socio-economic backgrounds the opportunity to football during the school holidays. The camps also aim to tackle the issue of ‘holiday hunger’ by providing free lunches to those who need it most.

Scottish Gas’ investment has also boosted the provision of Scottish Para-Football’s disability community initiatives, which use the power of football to improve people’s lives. The partnership will allow for six clubs a year to set up the required infrastructure and playing conditions for the local para community.

Beyond feeding the grassroots community, the partnership extends into the elite level of the game across Scotland. As the Scottish Cup celebrates an historic 150^th anniversary year, Scottish Gas are helping create a new piece of history by becoming the first ever dual title-partner for the men’s and women’s competitions.
