The Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup begins properly this weekend as the eagerly-anticipated First Round takes place across the country.

With the Preliminary Rounds now complete, 30 ties will be played out, with sides looking to reach the Second Round - the stage when the first SPFL sides enter the competition.

Three sides remain from the Preliminary Round One, with cup debutants Johnstone Burgh, Dundee North End and Invergordon all navigating two fixtures to reach this stage. They will face Threave Rovers, Strathspey Thistle and Glenafton Athletic respectively.

Lowland League table-toppers Linlithgow Rose - the joint highest ranking side entering the competition - host fellow Lowland League outfit Gala Fairydean Rovers, while Highland League leaders Brora Rangers face Fraserburgh at Dudgeon Park.

Auchinleck Talbot kick off the weekend's action with what is certain to be a hotly-contested derby match against Cumnock at Beachwood Park live on BBC Scotland.

Darvel, who secured one of the all-time Scottish Cup upsets when they defeated Aberdeen three seasons ago, take on Highland League side Deveronvale, while Clydebank - who have also enjoyed victories over SPFL opposition in the past few seasons, travel to Jeanfield Swifts.

Lochee United saw off Tweedmouth in the Second Preliminary Round and they have been rewarded with a home tie against close neighbours Brechin City.

Musselburgh Athletic made it as far as the Fourth Round last season before losing to Hamilton Academical and they will be hoping for a similarly impressive cup run as they host Bonnyton Thistle in Round One.

The weekend's action concludes on Monday evening as University of Stirling host Burntisland Shipyard.

The full list of fixtures and potential postponement dates is listed at the bottom of the page.

The First Round in the women's competition will take place next weekend.
