The Scottish Gas Scottish Cup is back with a bumper draw on Wednesday evening at 7:30pm as the Preliminary Rounds in both the men's and women's competitions are decided.

Host Gordon Duncan will be joined by John Hughes, who won the Scottish Cup with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2015, and Kirsty Howat, a three-time winner of the competition, who scored twice in this year's final against Glasgow City.

Below, we have detailed how the draws will work. Both draws will be streamed live on the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup social media channels.

The following sides will enter at the Preliminary Round stage for the men's competition:

Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup: Preliminary Round One Draw

The first Preliminary Round in the men's competition will consist of four ties and be played on the weekend of Saturday, 9 August.

It will consist of the seven sides in the draw who do not possess a Club Licence (Lochar Thistle, Whitburn Juniors, Invergordon, Dundee North End, Culter, Johnstone Burgh, Steins Thistle. Those seven teams will be joined by one team, that will be selected at random from the other 49 sides that are entering the competition in the Preliminary Round stage. The remaining 48 sides will receive a bye to Preliminary Round Two.

Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup: Preliminary Round Two Draw

This will consist of 26 ties which will be played on the weekend of Saturday, 30 August. It will be made up of the 48 sides who received a bye from the first Preliminary Round, and the four ties which are yet to be completed.

Scottish Gas Women's Scottish Cup: Preliminary Round One Draw 

35 sides go into the hat for the first Preliminary Round in the women's competition. The first 13 names out will be byes, with the following 22 sides then drawn into 11 Preliminary Round One ties. This round will be played on the weekend of Sunday, 17 August 2025.

Scottish Gas Women's Scottish Cup: Preliminary Round Two Draw

In the final draw of the day, there will be 24 balls, made up of the 13 sides who received byes, and the 11 ties which are still to be completed from the first Preliminary Round
