Nine-time winners Glasgow City were the first team to book their place in the semi-finals of the 2025/26 Scottish Gas Women’s Scottish Cup at Barclays Hampden.

First-half goals from Sofia Määttä and Abi Harrison secured a 2-nil win over Stenhousemuir which was enough to see them through to the last-four of the competition.

The second match of the day between Montrose and Dundee United was abandoned during the second half following an injury to a Dundee United player. The fixture will be replayed in due course.

Celtic travelled to Hearts in the 3pm kick-off and it was the visitors that opened the scoring on 24 minutes thanks to Morgan Cross who drilled a shot low and hard across the face of goal.

A stunning shot from Kayla Jardine curled into the top corner to draw Hearts level before a deflection saw Celtic take a 2-1 lead into the break.

Hearts pulled a goal back courtesy of Georgia Timms, who saw her shot deflected into the bottom corner which was enough to take the game into extra time.

It wasn’t to be for the Edinburgh side as Celtic went 4-2 up in the first half of additional time. Hearts continued to push for another goal, grabbing a consolation just before full-time, ending the match 4-3 to Celtic.

In the final fixture of the day, holders Rangers were out of sight by half-time against Partick Thistle. A first-half brace from Laura Berry and goals from Wilkinson, Hill and Docherty put Leanne Crichton’s side 5-nil up at the break.

Berry wasn’t finished though as she struck again two minutes after the restart to secure her hat-trick and a 6-nil lead for Rangers.

Ten minutes later, Wilkinson fired one in from the back post to make it 7-nil, grabbing her second goal of the day.

Leah Eddie also got on the scoresheet as Rangers cruised into the semi-finals with an 8-nil win.
