Jane Ross
Biography
Only Julie Fleeting has scored more goals for Scotland than West Ham striker Ross, who made her debut as a substitute against England at the 2009 Cyprus Cup. Born on the Isle of Bute, Ross began her senior career with Glasgow City in 2006. She scored 104 goals in 118 appearances for the club, helping the side to six consecutive SWPL titles and the last 16 of the 2011/12 Champions League.
Having joined former Scotland team- mate Ifeoma Dieke at Vittsjo in 2013, Ross made the switch to Manchester City after a two-year stay at the Swedish side. She joined West Ham in 2018, helping them to the FA Cup final at Wembley in May 2019.
Jane deferred an MPhil at the University of Stirling until the conclusion of her playing career, and scored the goal against Albania that secured Scotland’s place at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
