Biography
Emslie made her senior Scotland debut in June 2013, coming off the bench to replace Leanne Ross after 62 minutes of a 3-2 friendly win over Iceland in Reykjavik. The then-19-year-old chose to accept a scholarship to Florida Atlantic University in 2012, earning a degree in exercise physiology in 2016. Alongside her academic commitments, Emslie scored 29 goals in 76 appearances for the Florida Atlantic Owls over her four- year course.
Earning her second cap in January 2017, the Edinburgh-born winger scored in Shelley Kerr’s first match in charge of the SWNT in September of that year against Hungary in Telki. Emslie – who joined Manchester City in July 2017 – played in all bar one of Scotland’s 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying matches, and has represented Scotland at under-17 and under-19 level.
Prior to the 2019 Women's World Cup she signed for Orlando Pride. During the World Cup she scored Scotland's first goal at the tournament, against England in a 2-1 defeat. After the tournament she had a loan spell at Melbourne City where she won the league.
