Des Bremner

Desmond George Bremner was born in Aberchirder (Banffshire) on 7 September, 1952. Des Bremner was a key midfielder for Hibernian and Aston Villa whose defensive abilities were crucial in the latter’s greatest success. He joined Hibs from Deveronvale in November 1972 and played in two national finals without success as well as European campaigns a youthful talent that earned nine Under 23 caps. His transfer to Aston Villa in 1979 was an astute move by the Birmingham club and would go onto win major honours with the club.
