Biography

Eamonn John Bannon was born in Edinburgh on 18 April, 1958.
A versatile midfielder who was a key force in Dundee United’s halcyon years of the early 1980s. He began his career with Hearts, joining them in 1976, but was transferred to Chelsea in January 1979. He failed to settle in London and in October that year Dundee United paid a Scottish record fee of £165,000 to bring him to Tannadice.
