The Scotland Supporters Club (SSC) has received the final data update from tournament organisers, FIFA, for all members who have completed the FIFA World Cup 2026 ticket application process for Scotland's matches.
We can now issue our final guidance for Members, detailing the current applications, as well as the amount of points that will guarantee a successful ticket application in each category for each match.
Please note that this is only based on current numbers and may change slightly ahead of the Final Deadline which takes place on Tuesday, 13 January. FIFA have advised that they will not be able to send any further guidance to Participating Member Associations (PMAs) prior to Tuesday's deadline. Members remain able to cancel their application and submit a new application in a different category up until the deadline.
As mentioned in our previous communication, we remain oversubscribed in the requests for accessible tickets. Though the number has decreased slightly since our last communication, we still have between 700 and 1000 ‘Easy Access’ applications for each group match. We urge anyone who may have selected ‘Easy Access’ seating in error to re-apply as this will mean your application is cancelled if you are not registered with the SSC as having accessible requirements.
As communicated earlier in the week, all three of Scotland's group stage matches are over-subscribed, therefore a ballot will take place for these three games using the loyalty points system, following the Final Deadline.
Based on the current volume of applications, the majority of Scotland's potential knock-out fixtures remain under-subscribed, (Round of 32, Round of 16, Quarter-Final, Semi-Final, 3rd Place Play-off, Bronze Final and Final). Therefore, all members who apply would currently be successful in receiving tickets for these matches - aside from the potential Round of 32 match which is over-subscribed in the Supporters Value (Category 3) tier.
Please note, this data only applies to SSC Members who applied on the FIFA Portal using an access code provided by the SSC. This is totally separate from any application made by a supporter in the Random Selection Draw on the FIFA Portal.
Accessible (easy Access) Tickets
Regrettably, the SSC has not been provided with any guidance regarding the number of Easy Access / Wheelchair tickets that we will be able to obtain and may not receive an update prior to the Final Deadline. We have, and will continue to raise this issue as a matter of priority with FIFA.
As outlined above, we urge Members to ensure they have not accidentally applied for an 'Easy Access' ticket, because the amount of applications for this type of ticket remains significantly higher than our list of those who are registered with the SSC as having accessibility requirements. Anyone who thinks they may have done this can cancel their application and re-apply.
Once again, to re-iterate, we understand these allocations will be limited so, if easy access is not a necessity, we would advise Members to select a different category.
Supporters Entry (Category 4) Tickets
Following our communication earlier in the week, we can confirm that the points threshold for Supporters Entry (Category 4) tickets has not changed at all for any of our matches.
As mentioned previously, the SSC will allocate these to the Members with the highest amount of loyalty points who have applied for Supporters Value (Category 3) tickets for each match. Members do not need to cancel or amend their application.
This will be done via an access code which will allows supporters to purchase a Supporters Entry (Category 4) ticket, while their original Supporters Value (Category 3) application will be cancelled. We will communicate further to confirm when these access codes will be sent.
Please note that only those who have applied for Supporters Value (Category 3) tickets will be considered for these Supporters Entry (Category 4) tickets. Members who anticipate that they will meet the required points threshold but have applied for Supporters Premier (Category 1) or Supporters Standard (Category 2) would need to amend their application should they wish to receive a Category 4 ticket.
We are also aware that there was a small window in which it was possible to apply for the Category 4 tickets on the FIFA System. We would advise any supporters who filled in this application that it will be declined and they should re-apply.
Group Stage Matches
Below, we have outlined the total applicants for each match, as well as the current points totals that would be successful at this stage.
It is important to note that if a Member misses out on a Supporters Value (Category 3) ticket, they can not then upgrade to a Supporters Standard (Category 2) following the closure of the application window. Therefore, we recommend that anyone whose points total falls below the current points level for successful application to re-apply for a different category if they want to increase their chances of being successful.
