Scotland Under-19 Head Coach Neil MacFarlane took charge of the Men's Under-19s for the first time last week for a week-long camp in Pinatar, Spain, and the young Scots enjoyed a promising camp, finishing with two wins and a draw from their three friendly matches.

MacFarlane was announced as the Under-19 Head Coach last month, with former Scotland international Chris Burke as his assistant.

Azerbaijan were up first and Scotland raced into an early lead with two first half goals. Prolific Scotland youth striker Rory Wilson scored a header, while Rudi Allan-Molotnikovwas also on target, stabbing home after his initial shot had been blocked. Scotland saw out the second half comfortably to hold secure a convincing win.

Two days later and Scotland took on the Faroe Islands, with MacFarlane utilising his squad, making a number of changes. Scotland would edge an eight-goal thriller in the end, running out 5-3 winners. Young Aberdeen striker Alfie Bavidge headed in the opener for Scotland and Daniel Armer also scored a header as Scotland went into half-time 2-1 in front.

Ryan One nipped in at the front post to get his first goal of the week before Rudi Allan-Molotnikov grabbed his second goal in successive games with another header. The Faroes grabbed two goals of their own in an entertaining second half before a late own goal - created by Fletcher Boyd's wing play - sealed the victory in added time.

The Netherlands would provide a tougher test for Scotland in the final match and they went two goals to the good before Allan-Molotnikov capped an impressive week by scoring two quick-fire goals to force a 2-2 draw. The first was a crisp strike from just inside the area, he slotted home after a sweeping counter-attack for second the end to earn the young Scots a deserved draw.

The week will serve as excellent preparation for MacFarlane's young side who prepare for their Under-19 European Championship qualifiers later in the year.
