As It Happened
The hosts started brightly, dominating possession and Morten Hjulmand headed straight at Gunn when well picked out but the linesman's flag was up for offside anyway.
Scotland began to grow into it though, with Lyndon Dykes heading over on 15 minutes and McTominay seeing a shot from the edge of the box blocked, with Adams screaming for the pass through.
McGinn was next to go close moments later as he met Ferguson's deep cross at the back post but he could only divert his effort wide.

The tide was beginning to turn and Christie fired a dangerous cross across goal in the 20th minute but Adams could not quite get on the end of it.
The Danes were still looking dangerous and Mika Biereth was almost played through on goal but the pass was just out of reach and Gunn was able to gratefully gather.
Scotland's best chance of the game then came five minutes before half-time when McGinn did superbly well down the right and picked out Christie with a deep cross but the midfielder could only head back across Kasper Schmeichel and wide of the post.
Scotland started the second half brightly and McTominay did wonderfully to keep the ball in the right hand side of the box before shooting low and forcing a save from Schmeichel.

Denmark then had their first chance of the half in the 53rd minute as Hojberg's shot from the edge of the box was deflected wide for a corner.
It was the Scots who were looking more likely though and Dykes had the best chance of the match in the 59th minute. After fantastic play down the right involving Hickey and McGinn, Adams slid the ball across for his strike partner but Dykes opted to take a touch and his left-footed shot was blocked.
Hickey then lashed wide a minute later after Robertson's cross was only partially cleared as Scotland continued to push.
Denmark’s fans thought they had taken the lead in the 64th minute as Anders Dreyer let fly from 25 yards but the celebration was in vain as the ball struck the side netting.
Hickey’s comeback lasted 67 minutes before he was replaced by Max Johnston after an impressive shift on his return.

Johnston was very nearly in serious trouble as the VAR sent the referee to the monitor to check a possible red card for handball, but the on field official stuck to his guns with a yellow card only.
Right back Johnston was then straight into the action again, making a crucial back post clearance in the 75th minute as the host belatedly began to threaten.

Steve Clarke rang the changes with ten minutes to go as Ben Gannon-Doak, George Hirst and Kenny McLean came on for Adams, Dykes and Christie.
Gannon-Doak nearly made an instant impact as he controlled a deep cross before seeing his shot blocked from a tight angle.
There was still time for Gunn to make a brilliant double save from Rasmus Hojlund then Gronbaek but, as in the first half, the flag eventually went up.
There was one more late scare as Højbjerg found himself free in the box but he headed into the arms of the grateful Gunn as the game ended goalless, with Scotland - who created the most chances, at least leaving with a well deserved point.
