The Scotland Futsal squad face a trip to Belgium for their EURO Qualifying matches this week.

Head coach Gordon McGillivray and his side face the tricky task of three fixtures in four days in Herentals as their bid to reach the finals gets underway.

Up first for the Scots is a clash against Montenegro on Wednesday in the opening fixture of 2020.

McGillivray's side then play Belgium on their own turf on Thursday. The Belgians best-ever performance at the UEFA Futsal EURO's came back in 1996 when they finished third.

Also vying for a place at the finals in Netherlands is Armenia, who are Scotland's final opposition in Group B on Saturday.

What happens next?

The nine group winners will advance to the qualifying group stage, while the nine group runners-up and the five third-placed teams with the best record against the first and second-placed teams in their group advance to the qualifying round play-offs.

The play-offs will consist of 14 teams going head-to-head in two-legged matches consisting of a home and away match. The seven winners will advance to the qualifying group stage.

These 16 teams will then join 16 World Cup qualifying elite round teams which received a bye to the qualifying group stage. The 32 teams will then be drawn in to eight groups to determine which nations will join hosts Netherlands in the final tournament.
