Scotland will compete against Switzerland, Slovenia and North Macedonia in the 2026/2027 UEFA Nations League, after Thursday evening's draw in Brussels.

The Scots were drawn into Group B1 for the matches which will take place between September and November this year.

The UEFA Nations League fixture details and information about ticket sales and a five-match package for all Scotland matches at Barclays Hampden in 2026 will be released very shortly.

Scotland last faced Switzerland in the group stages of UEFA EURO 2024, when Scott McTominay and Xherdan Shaqiri traded first half goals in a 1-1 draw.

Our last meetings with Slovenia came in 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying, where we won 1-0 in Glasgow but drew 2-2 away in our final match of the campaign.

We have played North Macedonia (then FYR Macedonia) on four occasions, with the most recent a 2-1 victory in 2013 after goals from Ikechi Anya and Shaun Maloney.

Scotland Head Coach Steve Clarke, speaking after the draw: "The teams are evenly matched. It's been a good competition for us.

"This competition helped us qualify for EURO 2020 so we know the benefits. We expect three difficult matches.

"We were in League A last time, we unfortunately lost out to Greece - who are a really good side - in a play-off last time, so they knocked us down to League B.

"Firstly, there's a lot of work to be done.

"I like taking difficult friendlies. We play Japan and Cote D'Ivoire in March which are two tough games.

"Then a send-off game against Curacao which is six days after the players play their last games, so no rest for the wicked this year.

"We're just trying to finalise our last friendly in America.

"Everyone has been enjoying themselves since we qualified. We came out of a tough group and we finished with an unbelievable game against Denmark which a lot of people still talk about but it's time to move on as there's a lot more games to play."
