Scotland Under-21s Head Coach Scot Gemmill has named his squad for the forthcoming UEFA Under-21 EURO 2025 qualifiers.

With a home match against first placed Spain followed by an away fixture in Malta, the two qualifiers will go a long way to determining Scotland’s fortunes in the campaign.

Scotland emphatically won their last fixture in the campaign back in March, with an impressive 4-1 victory over Kazakhstan. Gemmill has named three of the goalscorers from that evening in his squad, with Josh Doig, Lyall Cameron and Lewis Fiorini all aiming to carry on the impressive form they have shown in the campaign so far.

Regulars Connor Barron, Kieron Bowie and Liam Bowie are a few of the players who will be hoping to continue their national team form from the campaign so far after moving clubs in the summer.

Tommy Conway, Ben Doak and Max Johnston will miss the fixtures after being named in Steve Clarke’s Men’s A squad for the UEFA Nations League matches against Poland and Portugal yesterday.

The nine qualification group winners along with the three best-placed group runners-ups will qualify automatically for next year's finals in Slovakia, with the remaining six group runners-up entering into play-offs for the final three places.

Gemmill’s side currently sit in third place among the best-placed group runners up with four matches left of the qualification campaign.
