Scotland will take on Côte d’Ivoire at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday, March 31 (7.30pm kick-off).

It’s the latest FIFA World Cup 2026 warm-up friendly to be confirmed as Steve Clarke steps up his preparations for the summer.

The Scots play host to Japan at Barclays Hampden on Saturday, March 28 before heading south to visit the new home of The Toffees.

Curaçao provide the opposition for the national team’s final friendly on home soil before flying to America, with an additional overseas friendly close to being finalised.

It will be the first time that Scotland and Côte d’Ivoire have faced off, with The Elephants fresh from a strong showing at the Africa Cup of Nations – where they reached the quarter-final stage.

Like Japan and Curaçao, they’ve also booked their place at the World Cup.

Scotland National Team Head Coach Steve Clarke said: “We’re pleased to confirm Côte d’Ivoire as our second opponents for the March international window, following on from Japan’s visit to Glasgow.

“We wanted to face African opposition before we play Morocco in the summer, and I’m sure Côte d’Ivoire will give us a really stern test.

“It will also be good to play at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool. The supporters will enjoy the opportunity to visit the new stadium.”
