Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Below are listed some Frequently Asked Questions, based on our understanding of the process at this stage. Please note, we are regularly receiving updates from FIFA and will continue to update our guidance for supporters throughout the process.

As a Scotland Supporters Club (SSC) Member, when and how can I apply for tickets for Scotland’s matches?

SSC Members will receive an access code on Monday, 15 December which will allow them access to the FIFA Portal to apply for tickets from Scotland’s Participating Member Association (PMA) allocation. The sending of these codes will be staggered throughout the day, based on SSC points total, but please note there is no first-come-first-serve element to this application.

SSC Members have until the Final Deadline of Tuesday, 13 January to apply for tickets but we would encourage all SSC Members to apply before our Recommended Deadline of 11pm on Sunday, 21 December.

If matches are oversubscribed, how will the successful applicants be decided?

For each match that is oversubscribed, we will conduct a ballot following the Final Deadline using the loyalty point system to determine who is successful in receiving their chosen category ticket, starting with the highest of 32 points and working our way down the points ladder until all eligible members have been allocated tickets for their chosen category.

What is the allocation for SSC Members and how much do tickets cost?

The allocation and prices for all of Scotland's matches and potential matches are listed here.

What is the process for under 18s?

Under FIFA’s rules, no-one under the age of 18 can apply for their own tickets. A member over the age of 18 may apply on behalf of a maximum of one member under the age of 18. The SSC sent out a Pre-Application Survey earlier this week and all those who indicated that they will be applying on behalf of a Member under the age of 18 will be sent tailored instructions on how to do this.

How many categories of ticket can I apply for?

The SSC will receive tickets in three categories. Only one category of ticket can be selected on the application. On FIFA’s system, these categories are defined as the Supporters Premier Tier (Category 1), the Supporters Standard Tier (Category 2) and the Supporters Value Tier (Category 3).

In addition, the SSC will be in regular contact with members in the period following the Recommended Deadline on Sunday, 21 December, and the Final Deadline on Tuesday, 13 January, with guidance around applications.

For example, Category 3 tickets may be over-subscribed, in which case we would look to advise those on a certain point bracket to apply for a different category of ticket to increase their chances of being successful.

What is the advice for Members of the SSC who have accessibility needs?

A separate, tailored survey was sent to those members of the SSC who are registered as having accessibility needs. These members will be sent instructions on how to apply for the relevant accessibility sections. The survey also included details of how to contact the SSC with any questions over the application. We understand that those with accessibility needs can also choose one of any of the three aforementioned categories.

Please note that there are no complimentary companion tickets for this tournament, which is in line with standard policies with the United States. Pricing is based on the rate for accessible seating tickets (PMA Premium, Standard, Value) depending on the different price category chosen.

Can I change my application after submitting it?

Applications can be restarted again from scratch, if you want to amend your selections after  submission, as long as the Final Deadline on Tuesday, 13 January has not yet passed.

You can do this using the same access code that you were sent on Monday, 15 December. However, you may have to wait around 24 hours to be able to use the access code on a new application.

When do SSC Members have to pay for any potential tickets?

SSC Members will not have to pay for any tickets until February, when the application window closes and successful applicants are contacted. Payment will be taken by FIFA between Monday 9 February and Sunday 22 February 2026. Please note that card details must be entered during the initial application and payment will be taken if the application is successful. Under the FIFA System, we understand there is no option at this stage to decline the tickets.

What if I am a Scotland supporter who is not an SSC Member?

Although only SSC Members can apply for tickets in Scotland’s PMA allocation, Scotland supporters who are not SSC Members can apply for tickets in FIFA’s Random Selection Draw, which will open at 4pm (UK time) and close at 4pm (UK time) on Tuesday, 13 January.

There will not be a penalty for SSC Members who also choose to apply for tickets within this Random Selection Draw. However, it should be noted that we understand there is no option to decline tickets if successful, so Members should only apply for what they are prepared to pay for. In Addition, FIFA’s rule of a maximum of four tickets per “household” (postal address), will also apply.

Are there transfer or ticket resale options for tickets within the PMA allocation?

We do not expect a resale platform for tickets purchased in the official Scotland PMA allocation.

At this stage, we also have no guarantees that tickets from the PMA allocation will be transferable, and in our discussions with FIFA we have emphasised the importance of protecting the integrity of the loyalty point scheme. We would ask Members to only apply for PMA tickets if they fully intend on going to the matches.
