Next up for Scotland Women’s National Team is 2025 European Championship hosts, Switzerland at KDM Group East End Park in Dunfermline.

It follows Friday night’s friendly in Casablanca which saw Erin Cuthbert curl a corner directly into the back of the net to open the scoring with the hosts grabbing an equaliser inside the last ten minutes, but it was Dunfermline’s own Caroline Weir who sealed the win with a screamer from 35-yards in the dying moments of the match. The midfielder makes a hometown return on Tuesday with the opportunity to play on the turf at Dunfermline Athletic for the first time.

Friday night marked the first Scotland win under Andreatta and the Australian’s third match in charge.

Switzerland go into the game off the back of a 1-nil win over Canada on Friday night. An early strike from Alayah Pilgrim was the difference between the two sides in Lucerne.

Pre-match thoughts

Scotland Head Coach, Melissa Andreatta on Switzerland: “They’re a good, solid side that will offer a different type of challenge to the one we had against Morocco.

“It’ll be great to take to the pitch in front of our own fans in Dunfermline and we want to do the fans proud.

“Everyone is excited for the match and looking forward to building on everything that we’ve been working on this week.”

Scotland midfielder, Caroline Weir on the possibility of scoring at the home of the club she grew up supporting: “I'm so excited to be going back to Dunfermline, and I think the team are excited as well.

"To score there, I mean, that is the ultimate dream, isn't it?

"I don't know, we'll see. The goal in Casablanca might have been a fluke to be fair with my right foot."

Reflecting on the win against Morocco, Scotland midfielder Erin Cuthbert: "We've been building up a couple of good performances building into this.

"I think conditions didn't really help, among a few other things, but games like this are all about riding it out and trying to get the win. Caz has come up with a lovely individual goal just when we needed her.

"It's just a bit of relief. I felt like we dominated the game without creating a whole load of chances. It might not be pretty, it might not be nice, but we come up with a goal to win it."
