Leitch Keir

Leitch Keir was born in Alloa on 22 June 1861 and died 29 June 1922. He spent his entire playing career with Dumbarton through that team's most successful years winning numerous honours including the Scottish League title in 1891 (joint) and 1892 and the Scottish Cup in 1883. Also appeared in two more Scottish Cup finals in 1887 and 1891. He was later the President of the Dunbartonshire FA. Known as 'the Lion' he played at left half and was best known for the power and accuracy of his free kick
