Biography
David Alexander was born in Falkirk around 1870, date not known.
A speedy centre forward, he scored on his international debut against Wales and was retained for the following week’s game against Ireland. By then he had already had a lively playing career winning several local medals with East Stirlingshire before moving south to Darwen, then in the Football League in 1891, and scored 9 goals in a season. After a year he moved to Accrington but failed to become a regular and by 1893 was back in Scotland.
