Biography
George Anderson was born in Kilmarnock on 6 January 1877. He died in Canada on 20 May, 1930.
He started his career with the Rugby XI, which was Kilmarnock's junior team, and moved to the senior team in 1897. He helped Kilmarnock to the Scottish Cup Final in 1898 (which they lost to Rangers), as well as consecutive second division championships before their election to the first division. He was known to be a tough centre half.
