Biography
George Neil Farm was born in Edinburgh on 13 July 1924. He died on 14 July 2004. A reliable and commanding goalkeeper who made over 500 apperances for Blackpool, including an FA Cup win in the famous 1953 ’Matthews Final’. He began his career in junior football at Armadale and stepped up at Hibernian, but in September 1948 moved south to Blackpool. He remained until 1960, winning ten international caps in the process. He returned to Scotland with Queen of the South making the transition to manager.
